Welcome to The Settlement Channel, the home for settlement professionals on the net.

The Settlement Channel, hosted and managed by Mark Wahlstrom, President of Wahlstrom & Associates, is an affiliated partner of The Legal Broadcast Network and Civil Action Radio, as well as the home of two of our podcast radio shows, Ask the Experts and The Settlement Round Table. Our mission is to provide the finest news, commentary and educational content for settlement and legal professionals available anywhere on the internet.

These shows and almost all  of this web site are open to any member of what is loosely referred to as either the Settlement Community, or the Structured Settlement business. This would include professionals who refer to themselves as Settlement Planners, Structured Settlement brokers or specialists, trust company experts who manage special needs trusts or court settlement trusts, as well as financial planners or wealth managers who work as part of their practice in assisting personal injury victims with the myriad decisions involving court settlements. Of course it goes with out saying we welcome the participation and viewing of any trial lawyer or paralegal interested in the dynamics of the settlement industry, or those just searching for assistance in settlement process decisions.

As we have made a decision July 1, 2005  to transition virtually all of our shows, print content and podcasts to a RSS feed platform, this page is the first example of the interactivity crucial to managing and sharing information and knowledge in these highly specialized markets. If your browser or news reader is RSS/XML enabled you will be able to easily link into our sites, post, comment and share your views on the shows, guests and topics. As of September 1, 2005 we became available each week on Itunes and Yahoo podcast search engines, so that now all of our Audio content is easily subscribed to as well.

Also of note, effective October 1, 2005 the studios of The Legal Broadcast Network were completed in Phoenix, Arizona and we now have a full broadcast, podcast and editing facility available to our staff and associated members essentially 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The creation of this studio will expand our capacity to podcast, do remote broadcasts, edit audio and video content, as well as do a broad range of shows and topics as events and interest warrant.

Finally, effective January 15th, 2006 our video podcasting capacity was brought on line, with the first content being our broadcasts from the Mass Torts Made Perfect Convention, and also the National Structured Settlement Trade Association meeting in Phoenix, AZ. Check out our video content page to see these video podcasts.

The host of the Settlement Channel, as mentioned before, is Mark Wahlstrom, the President of Wahlstrom & Associates in Scottsdale, AZ. Each week through his live shows, audio commentary, podcasts and weblogs Mark will bring you the latest news, issues, commentary and product knowledge you need to manage and maintain the information that is so crucial to success in this unique industry. Make sure you are on our mailing list, subscribed to the RSS feed, or go to Itunes or Yahoo so you don't miss any of the exciting news and interviews you've come to expect on The Settlement Channel.
