  The big dog of the settlement industry. Largest association and considered "the voice" of the industry in Washington, DC. Largely defense oriented in the past but have recently become much more "centrist" in it's approach to all brokers and issues.
• The Society of Settlement Planners
  The plaintiff oriented trade association, geared toward Settlement Planning as a profession, as opposed to just annuity brokerage.
